A Spiritual Journey to Unravel the Ultimate Riddles of Life

Introduction and Overview of Spiritual Study

ancient mysteries graphic The Ultimate Riddles website documents my personal spiritual journey to study truths of the Christian faith as revealed in the Holy Bible. This discovery is based on taking our English translation of the King James Bible back to the original manuscripts for more accurate definition of misunderstood words or phrases.

This journey of spiritual discovery is for non-Christians, as well as believers in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, who feel uncomfortable in the teachings of some Christian leaders. Too often the traditions of mankind create feelings of guilt and obscure the truth.

Sense of Peace as Truth is Revealed

ancient mysteries revealed Disappointment with some organized religions is understandable. Rather than feed your spirit with truth, some religious teachers are busy eyeing your wallet while quoting Bible verses out of context to their advantage. Too often the result is contradiction within a given religion. No wonder the world is confused.

My personal spiritual journey began long ago, and more recently I have enjoyed a wonderful sense of peace that I want to share. God does not want you feeling overwhelmed with guilt. Just as a person might be anxious to learn about a new boss at work including their likes, dislikes, and expectations, it makes more sense to seek knowledge of your Creator for the same reasons.

Importance of the Personal Spiritual Journey

secret of wisdom and understanding Most people start life with a faith system introduced by parental influence. For spiritual growth, the learning process should follow an infinite path that never ends. As a Christian, the roadmap for my spiritual journey is the Bible which I accept as God’s Holy Word written by ancient people divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit. If you read a single word in a translation and the meaning is different than originally intended, you will be confused. Here’s an example:

The word “fear” in the verse “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding” was either inaccurately translated to English, or Olde English. The original Hebrew that was translated to “fear” actually means “reverence”. To paraphrase the sentence it says respect and revere God, and then seek knowledge revealed in the Bible to truly know Him. Fear of God does not mean be frightened.

Motivation for Documenting this Bible Study

My qualifications for presenting this journey are not based on a degree in theology or formal studies as a Biblical scholar. I am simply a Christian hungry for the truth, and God wants us to seek Him and keep in His Word, so we should study the Bible daily. Comparing the original ancient text to modern English I’ve learned more in the last 5 years than the previous 50. After drifting away like the prodigal son, my only regret in life is not returning sooner.

What you take from studying God’s Holy Word is personal, and your decisions as you learn are just that. I do not expect you to agree with each conclusion that I present. Make your study a lifelong personal journey and continue to seek wisdom and understanding as the Holy Spirit guides you.

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. 2 Peter 1:2 (KJV)
